It replaces the failure-prone Z-linkage with zinc-plated steel ends and a bigger (.425 inch) cable to provide solid, long-lasting transfer case gear selection. The 48-inch long cable is an excellent option for lifted builds and the powder-coated brackets will provide years of trouble-free shifts. This cable is compatible with the factory shifter but compliments any aftermarket shifter designed to use a factory cable.

• Fits the following Jeeps with 231 & 242 transfer cases: 1997-2006 TJ Wrangler • 2004-2006 LJ Wrangler Unlimited • 1984-2001 XJ Cherokee • 1986-1992 MJ Comanche • Park the vehicle on a clean, level surface, and support it on jack stands so that all four wheels are off the ground. This will help both during installation, and while checking adjustment. • Not compatible with Rubicon transfer case
